Yes — the entire Spanish course is free. You can learn every lesson without paying a cent. Super Lingo is an optional upgrade that removes ads and gives you unlimited hearts, but it's never required to learn.
Hearts are how Lingo keeps mistakes meaningful. You start each session with five. Lose one for each wrong answer; they refill over time, or instantly with Super. Run out and you'll practice old material to earn them back.
